Helmi is a doctoral student researching decision-making under uncertainty. Her current focus is modelling decision-making in electricity and reserve markets. She has previously participated in developing the Decision Programming Julia package for solving multi-stage decision problems under uncertainty. She has also utilised Decision Programming to optimise the allocation of preventative care for coronary heart disease.
